What Academate is
Academate is a digital class basecamp for academic students. It gives each class one reliable place for important context, deadlines, shared materials, member activity, and live collaboration.
The promise
- Reduce scattered class information across chat apps, personal reminders, file links, and separate documents.
- Keep classmates aligned through class workspaces, task tracking, schedules, discussion, files, and notes.
- Make academic collaboration feel light, friendly, and organized without forcing students into a complicated system.
- Support daily check-ins as well as longer semester workflows.
What makes it different
Academate is not only a task list or a chat room. It connects class identity, members, deadlines, notes, media, meetings, and schedules so students can move from information to action without losing context.
| Common problem | Academate response |
|---|---|
| Class information is scattered | Each class has its own workspace for discussions, tasks, files, notes, members, and meetings. |
| Deadlines are easy to miss | Tasks are centralized, shown by class, reflected in dashboard deadlines, and connected to schedule context. |
| Schedules are hard to read | Class day and time fields are used to create readable schedule blocks automatically. |
| Notes stay private when they should help others | Notes can stay personal or be shared back into a class workspace as reusable references. |
| Member identity is unclear | Profiles can show display name, university, major, semester, social links, and banner context. |
Who Academate is made for
Academate is primarily designed for students and academic peer groups, while still being flexible enough for class representatives, project teams, study clubs, and academic communities.
Students
Track classes, tasks, schedules, notes, deadlines, profile information, and daily academic context from one place.
Class organizers
Create class spaces, share join codes, maintain member lists, update class details, and coordinate tasks or notes.
Project groups
Use discussion, shared files, meeting access, task progress, and class notes to manage group deliverables.
How everything connects
Academate is easiest to understand as connected class spaces. Each class acts as a hub, while Dashboard, Tasks, Schedule, and Notes collect information from those hubs.
| Object | Connected information |
|---|---|
| User | Joined classes, profile details, banner choice, Telegram connection, hidden shared notes, and grade analysis data. |
| Class | Members, creator, class code, lecturer, room, SKS, schedule day and time, discussion messages, tasks, shared notes, files, and meeting activity. |
| Task | A class, title, description, due date and time, creator, urgency status, and completed members. |
| Discussion message | A class, sender, text content, optional attachment, timestamp, and deletion or retraction state. |
| Note | A personal or shared writing space with title, body, excerpt, tags, and class sharing context. |
| Schedule block | Generated from class day, start time, end time, and task due dates. |

What a class card shows
A class card can show the class icon, subject name, lecturer, day, room, task progress, task completion count, next class time, schedule summary, and member avatars.
Set up a class correctly
Creating a class makes you the class creator for that workspace. The creator can edit class settings, remove members, and delete the class when needed.

Replace with an official screenshot showing the class creation form and required class schedule fields.
| Field | How to fill it |
|---|---|
| Class icon | Use a simple emoji or short symbol that represents the subject. |

Fill in details carefully
Day and time affect schedule generation, so make them accurate.
Create and share
After saving, share the generated class code or invitation link with classmates.
Invite classmates safely
Class joining is based on a code or invitation link. This keeps onboarding fast while keeping each class limited to invited members.
Join with a class code
Open Kelas
Go to the Classes page.
Click Gabung Kelas
Enter the shared code exactly as received.
Confirm join
If valid, the class appears in your joined classes.
Join with an invitation link

Share a class
Use the share button on a class card, copy the class code or invitation link, and send it to classmates through your normal communication channel.
The center of class collaboration
The class workspace combines discussion, shared files, class-specific tasks, shared notes, member profiles, class settings, and live meetings for one class.

Track assignments across classes
Tasks appear both inside each class workspace and in the central Tugas page, allowing users to focus on one class or view all assignments together.

Automatic weekly schedule
Jadwal is an automatic schedule view. It turns class information and task deadlines into a visual timetable instead of asking users to manually draw calendar blocks.
Automatic schedule

- Use date navigation to move between weeks or months depending on screen size.
- Look for class blocks to know when each class happens.

Fix wrong schedule data
Do not drag blocks manually in Jadwal. Open the class workspace, then ask the class creator to update day, start time, or end time from class settings. Refresh the schedule after changes.
| What you see | Likely cause and fix |
|---|---|
| Class appears on wrong day | The Hari field in class settings is wrong. Ask the class creator to edit it. |
| Class block is too short or too long | Start or end time is incorrect. Edit Waktu and Waktu Selesai. |
| Class does not appear | You may not have joined the class, or class schedule fields may be incomplete. |
| Task reminder appears unexpectedly | Check the task due date in Tugas or the class task panel. |
| Current-time line looks wrong | Check device time and timezone, then refresh the page. |
Write, organize, and share notes
Catatan supports rich note taking, visual note cards, excerpts, tags, filters, personal notes, and shared class notes.

Turn useful information into reusable references
A complete notes workflow includes creating the note, writing useful content, organizing it, and optionally sharing it into a class.
Create a personal note
Open Catatan, click the add-note card, write a clear title, add the body content, use formatting, organize with tags or class context where available, and save.
Edit an existing note
Open a note card, update the title or body, and save changes before leaving if the editor does not visibly autosave.
Share a note to a class
From the class workspace, use Catatan Bersama and choose Tambah. Create or select the note to share so class members can open it from the workspace.
Remove or hide shared notes
The delete or close action attempts to remove the shared note. If permission rules do not allow full deletion, it may be hidden from your own visible list instead.
Manage your academic identity
Akun controls your public academic profile inside Academate. It also manages class membership, Telegram connection, sign out, and account deletion.

Read the confirmation dialog carefully.
Confirm leaving
The class is removed from your joined class list and access is removed where possible.
Open Zona Berbahaya

Manage a class responsibly
The class creator has additional controls inside the class workspace. These controls affect all class members and should be used transparently.

Edit class details
- 1Open the class workspace.
- 2Click the settings button in the header.

Delete a class
Open class settings, read the deletion warning, and confirm only when the class is no longer needed or all members have agreed.
Start live collaboration from a class
Academate includes a class-level Meet feature so students can move from discussion into a live voice or video session without losing class context.

Replace with an official screenshot showing the class Meet button, meeting overlay, participant state, and leave control.
Open a class workspace
Use Buka from the class card or an allowed class URL.
Click Meet
The meeting interface opens with class context.
Allow permissions
Allow camera and microphone permissions when your browser asks.
Leave properly
Use the leave button or close the meeting session. Refresh the class page if the live status appears outdated.
Live status
When users are active in the class meeting, the Meet button can show a live state such as “Live (3)” so classmates know whether a session is already running.
Receive reminders outside the browser
Academate includes Telegram connection prompts so users can receive class and task reminders outside the browser when the notification integration is active.
Telegram connection prompt
Replace with official screenshots showing Dashboard prompt, Account integration row, connected status, and reconnect state.
Where Telegram appears

Find Integrasi Telegram.
Click Hubungkan
Telegram opens with the Academate bot connection flow.
Start the bot
Follow the Telegram prompt, then return to Academate and refresh if status does not update immediately.
What Telegram is useful for
Telegram helps with class reminders, task deadline reminders, new task notifications where configured, and reducing the chance that browser-only information is missed.
Understand academic progress
Analisis Nilai is separate from the core class collaboration flow, but it helps students review grade and transcript information for personal academic monitoring.
Grade analysis page

- 2Check your internet connection.
- 3Make sure you are signed in with the expected Google account.
- 4Confirm you are a member of the class you are trying to open.
- 5Ask the class creator to verify shared class settings when a class field looks wrong.
Know what classmates can see
Academate is a collaboration space. Anything shared inside a class should be treated as visible to members of that class unless the interface clearly says otherwise.
- Display name and avatar are used in discussions, member lists, task completion, and profile cards.
- University, major, and semester can appear in member profile views.
- Instagram and Spotify links appear only if you add them.
- Email can appear in profile details and meeting user info depending on context.
- Class discussion messages are for class members.
- Shared files are collected in Media & File.
- Shared notes are visible from Catatan Bersama.
- Task completion may show who marked a task complete.
Make the workspace reliable
Academate becomes more useful when a class agrees on simple habits. The tool helps, but the group’s behavior makes the workspace dependable.
For class creators
- Create clear, consistent class names.
- Enter accurate day and time.
- Share the class code early.
- Keep class settings updated.
- Use tasks for deadlines instead of only writing them in chat.
- Warn members before major admin actions.
For members
- Complete your profile.
- Mark tasks complete only when actually finished.
- Search Media & File before asking for a shared file.
- Write clearly when sharing notes.
- Summarize meeting outcomes in a note or message.
For project groups
- Break large assignments into smaller tasks.
- Attach supporting files to discussion messages.
- Use shared notes as the single source of truth for decisions.
- Use live meetings when text discussion slows down.
